Why Imaging?
|
Ilixis Imaging utilizes imaging and archival technology to
digitize physical documents for easy archival and
retrieval. Once the physical documents have been scanned
and archived, the physical documents can be stored or
filed immediately - potentially off-site in a less
expensive location. This creates paperless business
processes that reduces clutter and promotes a more
conducive work environment.
Ilixis Imaging
stores images in its original format in a secure
location. Retrieval and Archival is performed through two
TCP/IP Windows Sockets server programs. There is no
direct network access requirement from the client
application to the location of the images. This
increases security and protects the assets of the
business. |

An Overview
|

Indexing
& Archival
|
|
|
1. The user specifies the location of the
images to index.
2. The user indexes the images.
3. The indexed image can either be
archived to
the server immediately or
be saved to a batch
directory for batch
archival at an appropriate
time.
4. For batch archival, Ilixis Imaging
parses the saved indexed images for
correctness before
batch archiving. |

Retrieval
|
1. The archived images
can be retrieved by
keying in search
criteria.
2. Once retrieved, the
user can view the
image;
create
annotations; and
execute basic imaging
viewing functions
like zooming, rotating,
etc.
3. The user can save
changes and commit
the
changes back into
archive. |
