Managing Images
Managing images is accomplished with
the use of albums. Ilixis Image Console allows
users to group images into virtual listings
in digital albums. Although the physical image file
may reside in different locations on disk,
albums provide users with the capability of
managing the images from a single point of
view.
In albums, users can add remarks (metadata)
to provide attach more descriptive
information to the image files. Users can
also create slide shows based on the albums
to provide an easy way of viewing the
images.
There are 2 ways of viewing the album
listing - text listing or thumbnails. Using
the thumbnail view, users can browse through
the contents of an albums quickly and
easily.

Features
Searching For Images
A perennial problem with dealing with files
is that searching for them on disk requires
the user to know the filename. Searching for
files using the Image Console is easier as
the search extends to sieving through the
remarks attached to images in albums.
However, the images would have to be added
into an album in the first place.
